Job ID: 1480677 Role: Control Analyst – SDLC & Deployment Controls Experience: 3–5 Years Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom Work Model: Hybrid (2 Days/Week Onsite) Contract Duration: 6–12 Months Rate: £375 per day (Inside IR35) Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred *About the Role* We are seeking a detail-oriented Control Analyst to support the governance of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Deployment Controls. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure compliance with SDLC processes, deployment controls, audit requirements, and governance standards while driving continuous process improvements. *Key Responsibilities* - Support engineering and delivery teams in adopting SDLC and deployment control processes. - Conduct SDLC and deployment control reviews and spot checks across applications and releases. - Track control findings, remediation actions, ownership, and closure status. - Ensure audit-ready documentation, including testing evidence, approvals, and change records. - Monitor compliance, DevOps metrics, and software delivery performance indicators. - Prepare governance reports, compliance dashboards, and management updates. - Facilitate workshops and provide guidance on SDLC, deployment controls, and governance best practices. - Improve processes, documentation, and workflows to enhance compliance and delivery efficiency. - Support audit readiness and ensure adherence to governance and control requirements. *Required Skills & Experience* - 3–5 years of experience in roles such as Control Analyst, Change Analyst, Business Analyst, Test Analyst, or similar within an Agile software delivery environment. - Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment governance. - Experience supporting audit, compliance, or assurance activities. - Working knowledge of change management tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent. - Understanding of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) principles. - Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills. - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for reporting and process documentation. *Preferred Skills* - Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Power Query, or Google Data Studio. - Knowledge of DevOps metrics and software delivery performance reporting. - Experience with QA/Test Management tools such as qTest, Tricentis, or Zephyr. - Understanding of Application Security Testing concepts, including SAST, DAST, MAST, and Vulnerability Management.
