Pega Senior System Architect (SSA)

Location: Pan India (remote/hybrid)

About the role:

We're looking for a Pega Senior System Architect to design and build enterprise-grade case management solutions for a major banking client. You'll own technical design within your stream and work closely with the LSA, business analysts and client stakeholders. The role requires strong grounding in security, integration authentication and Pega best practice.

Key responsibilities

- Design and develop case types, stages, processes, flows and data models using Pega case management best practices.
- Implement secure integrations using REST/SOAP connectors and services, including OAuth 2.0 flows (client credentials, authorization code, JWT bearer) and token management.
- Configure and enforce application security: access groups, roles, Access of Role to Object (ARO), Access When/Access Deny rules, attribute-based access control (ABAC) and authentication services.
- Apply Pega design patterns and guardrails: reuse through class hierarchy and rulesets, circumstancing, data pages, declarative rules and specialisation.
- Take part in design reviews, code reviews and guardrail compliance checks, and mentor SAs.
- Troubleshoot performance and defects using PAL, Tracer, Clipboard and Log Analyzer.
- Work in Agile delivery with client teams across time zones.

Must-have skills

- Pega CSSA certification.
- Strong case management: parallel processing, child cases, SLAs, routing and work parties.
- OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect concepts, and how to configure them in Pega (authentication profiles, OAuth 2.0 client registrations).
- Pega security model and secure coding practices, with awareness of OWASP risks.
- Solid understanding of design patterns and enterprise class structure (ECS).
- Integration experience with REST, SOAP and JSON/XML mapping.

Good to have

- Pega 8.x/Infinity '23+ and Constellation UI.
- Banking or financial services domain experience.
- Pega LSA progress, or Pega Decisioning/CDH exposure.
- Experience with Pega Cloud, CI/CD with Deployment Manager, and unit testing (PegaUnit)
